This has been around since 1999 and originally
housed a Pentium 3 600. It has three case fans and an Alpha PAL8942
heat sink. I noticed P4s don't overheat like the P3s, so I didn't
need extra cooling to get a stable overclock.
I only have one complaint
about the motherboard: The ethernet card died after about four
months. Before I realized
the defect,
I spent an hour on the phone with the Road Runner tech guys until
they decided to send someone to look at my "bad connection."
The tech guy showed up the next day. (Road Runner's customer service
is good.) He replaced the modem, then tried to install an ethernet
card. He finally gave up and left it for me to install.
It took me about 2 minutes to install it correctly. Another tech
guy had to visit me to delete the old ethernet card settings in
Windows Professional.
The lesson here is to test the Internet connection with another
computer before calling Road Runner.

This is my backup computer.
It gets all the leftovers when I upgrade the Lian Li PC-60 — normally
once a year. Unfortunately, I short-circuited a couple of motherboards
this year, so it was a long road to get the backup upgraded. This
case has two Delta 60mm case fans in the back. The high-pitch noise
from the Delta fans drowns out the noise from the 120mm Sunon
intake fan in the front. There are better fans than the Deltas
nowadays, and they are quieter.
